15 Amazing Spring Desserts You Have To Try Out!

Spring is upon us. The cold of winter is creeping away, and summer is on the horizon. So, it’s time to frost and ice and start getting ready for the sunshine ahead!

One of our favorite ways to start getting in the mood for the new season ahead is to make the right recipe for the season.

15 Amazing Spring Desserts You Have To Try Out

Getting some spring/summer outfits ready is great and all, but for us, there’s nothing like going from heart-warming pot roasts to grill outs and flavorful salads.

The same is true for desserts. As the weather warms up, the kinds of desserts that are best enjoyed change too.

And, in this guide, we’re going to show you the best recipes for the new season!

1. Lemon Blueberry Pound Cake

Starting us off with a perfect way to embrace spring, we have a loaf cake that is going to blow your socks off!

Lemon and blueberry flavors are our favorite way of getting ready for the warm times ahead (as you’ll see across this list).

Adding them both to a pound cake like this, with the lemon being a part of the cake batter, as well as blueberries being cooked into the cake, is phenomenal.

Be careful when mixing the milk and lemon for this dish. Don’t worry if the milk starts to curdle when the lemon is added. That’s supposed to happen!

2. Strawberry Crunch Cake

Is there a better symbol of the oncoming spring and summer than the sweet and succulent strawberry? There’s a reason that they’re featured in so many recipes for these seasons, after all!

So, why not help kick off the strawberry season with a beautiful strawberry crunch cake?

Covered from top to bottom in delicious strawberry cookie crumbs, this cake is rough and textured on the outside, with a spongy and moist cake on the inside.

And, of course, make sure that you don’t forget the creamy piping for this cake too!

3. Carrot Cake Dip

Carrot cake is a delicious dessert to have handy all year round. So why wouldn’t we also enjoy it as part of springtime festivities?

However, baking a whole cake can feel like a real chore at times, especially when you’re on an already tight schedule.

Fortunately, there are ways to get all those flavors that you love without putting in all of that work. And this carrot cake dip is perfect proof of that!

With pineapple juice, cream cheese, and shredded carrots all being a part of this dish, you’re certainly going to be covered for sweet tastes here!

4. Mini Blueberry Muffins

As we already mentioned, blueberry is one of our favorite flavors to enjoy in springtime. So we’re always on the lookout for more ways to bake it into our recipes.

And when we found this recipe for the cutest mini blueberry muffins, we knew pretty much instantly that we had a winner on our hands!

These small desserts are the ideal bite-sized treat whether you’re baking a sweet-course food for a big party or gathering, or you’re looking to have a steady supply of muffins to snack on for yourself.

(The latter is certainly tempting, that’s for sure!)

5. Easy Fruit Tart

Who doesn’t love a good fruit tart dish? With so many kinds of fruity delights on them, they’re a dish that can cater to pretty much any palate, when made right.

Now, if only they weren’t so tricky to make in the first place…

Well, with this recipe in your cookbook, you’ll find that one of the most popular and seemingly difficult dessert recipes out there becomes one of the easiest to make and enjoy for yourself!

We’re particularly big fans of the shortcrust that this recipe makes. This almond-rich exterior is a way of making a sweet dish like this even healthier!

6. Mochi Donuts

Mochi is a dessert that is becoming increasingly popular across the world, with new ways to enjoy this treat popping up left, right, and center.

And, maybe unsurprisingly, they have been mixed with perhaps one of the USA’s favorite dessert treats, the humble donut, to create a dish that is truly unlike anything else that you’ll find.

Plus, considering that these are made from everyday ingredients, you’re not going to have to stretch yourself to find the right items to use in this dish. It’s a win-win!

7. Fruit Popsicles

Popsicles will always be a dessert that is synonymous with warm and hot weather. They’re the perfect treat for cooling down in the spring or summer, whether you are 8, or 80 years old.

These particular popsicles are arguably the perfect version of this recipe — Sweet, just a hint of sourness – thanks to the lemons – and a refreshing way to stay cool as the days get hotter and longer!

Plus, this is one of the easiest popsicle recipes out there. Equipment-wise, all you need is a blender and a popsicle mold, and you’re pretty much good to go with these sweet treats!

8. Strawberry Crunch Cupcakes

One knows that strawberry crunch cake recipe that we covered a while back? It’s a personal favorite of ours, but we understand that some folks prefer their portions pre-prepared when it comes to cooking.

No need to worry about cutting the right size, you know?

Well, that’s where this great crunch cupcake recipe comes into the picture. It’s all the flavor, color, and texture of the crunch cake, but already divided up into cupcakes to share around with friends and family.

Arguably THE best way to serve a crunch cake for parties and other gatherings, we recommend this recipe if you, like us, are a firm believer in the ‘sharing is caring’ philosophy of home cooking!

9. Raspberry-Ricotta Cake

While we love fresh berry recipes here as much as the next home cook, we can’t deny that frozen berries are much better in terms of bang for the buck.

If only there were more recipes out there that could be made with these cold fruits in mind…

In the meantime, we’re content to enjoy this amazing raspberry and ricotta cake recipe.

10. Fraisier Cake

Now, if you’re looking for a dessert that is every bit as elegant and gorgeous to look at as it is tasty to eat, then you’re going to love a good fraisier cake.

This French dessert might look fancy at first glance, which is one of the reasons that we always love preparing it for parties. However, we also love how deceptively easy it is to make.

It’s pretty much two layers of almond flour-based sponge cake, complete with delicious crème mousseline.

And, of course, don’t forget the strawberries here. While you can get away with well-frozen strawberries, this dish was made with fresh and perfectly intact strawberries in mind.

11. Applesauce Muffins

All the recipes that we’ve covered so far are delicious, there’s no doubt about it. However, when it comes to healthiness, it’s kind of a roulette of possibilities.

Some are surprisingly healthy, but others, whilst tasting amazing, are perhaps the worst thing that you can eat if you’re on a diet.

These applesauce muffins help buck that trend a little. Yes, there is a little sugar that is used in this recipe.

But when you combine that with the buckwheat flour, the cinnamon spice, and, of course, the applesauce, you have a surprisingly nutritious dessert, as well as spongy and sweet.

12. Charlotte Cake

Crème mousseline is a delight to work with for dessert recipes. A sweet treat, if you will.

Here, it is used to help hold together this charlotte cake, complete with fluffy ladyfingers, sponge cake, and, of course, fruity decorations.

What exactly you put on top can be anything. Because of the strawberry tiramisu in the filling, we prefer throwing fresh strawberries on top.

But if you have the right substitutes, we can see bananas, or even oranges, working here too!

13. Ambrosia Salad

A fruit salad is already an amazing dessert to have for springtime. How exactly are you supposed to improve on a salad made from your favorite sweet fruits?

Well, by adding cool whip and marshmallows, of course!

This dessert is just wave after wave of sweetness, and is the perfect dessert for all ages!

14. Lemonade Bundt Cake

Told you we’d be back with the lemon-flavored desserts again!

Not only does it have the lemon citrus flavor that we love, but it’s also wrapped in a velvety texture that is simply too good to pass up!

15. Poached Pears

Finally, to cap off this springtime springboard of sweet delight, we have a new way of enjoying a classic spring and summer fruit.

Pears are known for their interesting texture and sweet flavor. However, poaching them for a cooked dessert dish might be a concept that seems weird at first.

But one try of this softly cooked dessert, and you’ll understand the surrounding hype!

Final Notes

So, as you can see, not only are there no shortage of springtime desserts for you to try. There is also a massive variety of flavor combinations to choose from.

The only question left to answer is this: Which dessert are you going to make for you, your family, or that upcoming party, first?
